Hi -
I'm beginning to use the Resource Library for documents that our crews need to access on site, and I've noticed a few limitations as I venture into this area.
First, I haven't been able to find a way to create sections or folders within the Resource Library. All uploaded files require tags so users can locate them if they don't know the specific document name. By the time we're finished, we expect to have more than 1,000 items in the library, including:
-
SDS/MSDS sheets - each company division maintains different sheets based on its scope of work.
-
Plans and policies - such as our Accident Prevention Plan and generic Health and Safety Plan.
-
Activity Hazard Analysis documents (AHAs) - each division and project has different AHAs based on the work being performed.
The ability to organize the Resource Library into separate sections or folders would be a valuable addition to the app.
Second, a way to upload and tag documents en masse would be extremely helpful. Currently, uploads are limited to 10 documents at a time, making this a very time-consuming project, and all tagging must be completed manually. It would be useful to have an option to upload a CSV or Excel file containing the filenames and relevant tags, which could then be matched to the uploaded PDF files.
Lastly, it would be helpful if access to the Resource Library could be enabled by group. Turning the feature on for everyone at once - particularly during testing - can cause considerable confusion within a company.
I've searched the documentation but haven't found a way to accomplish any of the above. If anyone knows of an existing solution or workaround, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share it. :)
Many thanks!
