Can you please discuss direct database integrations internally regarding your product in the near future. If that is already a feature in the enterprise level accounts that I am somehow missing I apologize in advance.

I would also prefer not to have to utilize API calls for everything due to our internal SSO requirements etc.

I do not want to use SharePoint lists as a datastore, and it seems like direct database access is a seemingly logical piece missing from the platform. There should not have to be another product (i.e Zapier) required to take form submissions and then push them down into a database such as MS SQL Server or the like for more permanent storage and reporting. I am currently handing all such integrations via Python scripting but it is a pain since I have to code each unique form. Other competitors such as FastField Forms already allow this functionality.

Ultimately, I would love to see the ability to make a MS SQL Server a destination that simply allows for TrueContext to connect to the MS SQL Server, associate form fields via response/table mappings, and then perform insertions into the external database upon form submission.

Please advise if this is even being discussed and/or in the future roadmap.

    Hello Cliff
I'm one of the product manager here at TrueContext who looks for opportunities and pain points in regards to our integrations.
Unfortunately, integration with Microsoft SQL Server is not on our planned roadmap.
Microsoft has many different products – and while we do hear from customers that they would appreciate an integration to some of them (Azure, Dynamics 365, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Teams) there isn't a clear choice to invest in.
Instead, in response to our customers needs being spread over many different products and companies (not just Microsoft), we've made improvements to our HTTP Connection to provide more authentication types, and our HTTP Data Source to be able to retrieve data from more formats.
We aim to make our HTTP Integration useful to customers with a need like yours – integration to a system outside of the ones we provide a built-in connector to.
It sounds like using our HTTP Integration still has some pain points for you, could you tell us a bit more about them?
    • What are the SSO requirements in your way?
    • How were you mapping form fields to database tables/columns in an efficient way?

    Thanks!
