I am new to setting up forms I have read different threads about this but I cannot seem to make it work.<o:p></o:p>

My problem is that we constantly have different emails that we need to send to I don't want to set up hundreds of destinations for them I want for the mobile user to add a email address on their mobile device and a PDF gets sent to the email address they input. Is this possible I have tried using a text field with the data type email but I am not getting the emails in the email address I input. <o:p></o:p>

Several others have just tried this and it's not behaving as we were expecting it to. Our support team will be engaging with engineering to look into this further. We will update this thread when we have more information.

Just to help confirm that Varun's approach works fine - we have used this approach for years and it works well.

On the attached screen shot of my email destination, "SetDestinationEmail" is the question Unique ID in my Form where a customer email address is entered. This then sends an output to them on completion of the form.

@Jason Schuelke, I want to confirm that the issues found yesterday were a false alarm. I made a couple mistakes when setting up my test form that I totally missed when doing my troubleshooting. This just goes to show the value of having a second set of eyes to review your work when something isn't working as expected :)

For anyone else following along on this thread, if you are setting up this feature and are getting unexpected results, check the following two settings:

1. Make sure the data type for the question you're using to collect the email is set to the 'Email Address' data type
   
   
2. Make sure that you are properly referencing the form label (Unique Identifier for Question in the form builder) in the email data destination that you have set up for your form

The data is populated from another field using a data source - I have double checked that the both fields are in the same repeatible section.

The destination settings are set as shown below:

And before I set all of this up, I completed a DREL test and got the answer I was expecting:

So what am I missing?

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Hi Kylie,

What's going on here is that the "Emails to Extract from the Submitted Form" box in the Email destination doesn't support DREL. What you put in that field is just the Question ID you want to pull the email address from, so in your case 'EEEmail'.

Since the 'EEEmail' is in a repeatable section, I can confirm that if you have multiple rows in that Repeatable Section (meaning you've got multiple email addresses), the system will send an individual email to each email address in the Repeatable Section.

Thans for responding. I don't believe that solution will work as I want Repeat Secton A to be sent to Employee A, Repeat Section B to be sent to Employee B and so forth.

If i put the EEEmail UID in the address box, everyone in the form who has an email address in the EEEmail field will get Repeat Section A - is that correct?

If that is the case, it's not what we want to occur.

Any other suggestions?

ahh.. I see.. that is definitely a different work flow than what I had quickly drawn up and tested.  I'll have to think on that further to see if there is a solution we might be able to come up with.

Definitely curious to see if any of our other customers have come up with something similar.
