Hi everyone,

I would like to use a template in several different forms. Can someone help me how to do this? I have created a template in Form 1, but it doesn't appear in Form 2.

Hi Moritz,

Great question! What you would need to do is create a single form that contains all the questions you would like shared across all the forms you wish to make and then use that form as a boilerplate. You would then copy that boilerplate form to create new forms.

The only thing to note with this method is that if you need to make any changes to the questions in that boilerplate template form, those changes won't propagate to the copied forms. You will need to update each one manually if changes need to be made.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm one of the Product Managers at ProntoForms, with a focus on form building and the apps. I get that it's frustrating to have to rebuild similar chunks of questions in different forms. We've looked at global templates and have some good ideas around them, but our current framework for the forms doesn't support as simple a solution as you suggest. If we tackle this issue in future, would you mind if I reached out to you for more details?

Hi Erin,

I found this thread by searching, and I am after something similar. Is there a way, perhaps, for me to copy a "page" into an existing form? Short of being able to push updates across multiple forms, could I at least copy a block of question into the form? Is this something that Pronto staff could help execute on the back end even if not available as a customer facing feature?
