    Does anybody have any experience with utilizing an external webcam to take pictures with the software?  I am having trouble finding a quality camera that works well with the software.  So far I was able to get a cheap webcam to function ok, but the picture quality is lacking.  I purchased a logitech camera of higher quality but it is very glitchy when used in the software.  Does anyone have any suggestions on a camera that has good resolution that they have seen function with the software?  Thanks in advance.

    Hi Christopher,

    I'm hoping you can elaborate on what you mean by "glitchy". Myself and @Ian Chamberlain did some quick tests here in the office using both my mac and his PC, plugging in a 4K logitech webcam into both, and everything was working for us as expected.  If you could explain a bit more as to the issues you're having when trying to use the logitech camera that would be helpful.  Additionally, are you using a mac or PC, and what are you using the camera for in your form?

    Pat,

    I'm trying to use a Logitech C920S on a Lenovo tablet running a windows based operating system.  I have also tried it on a windows based laptop with the same results.  When we open the camera through the camera app on the device it functions as expected, however, when we try to capture a photo with it through the app it has issues.  The first issue is we get lines through the image on the screen.  The second is, the update rate is extremely slow causing the image to "jump" around.

    Hi Christopher,

    This might be a tough one to troubleshoot, but thanks for the info so far. Just curious, but what have you set the Picture Quality to in the Properties for your Image question? Have you tried adjusting that to see if makes any difference?

    I will try that this week, by chance what model camera did you test with in case adjusting the picture quality does not help?

    Hi Christopher, the camera I was testing with was the Logitech 4K Pro webcam. Please let me know how it goes when adjusting the picture quality.
